This Policy is meant to inform you about data
protection relevant aspects and the measures
taken to protect your rights. Verpackungswerk

to as "we") complies with the provisions of the
German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and
the EU General Data Protection Regulation
(EU-GDPR).
1. Collection and Use of Personal Data
1.1 General Information
We take protecting your personal information very
seriously. We treat your personal information
confidentially and in accordance with the statutory
data protection provisions and this data protection
policy.
1.2 Automatic Processing by Website Operations
The websites are operated by a provider in
Germany who in turn stores access to the system
in so-called server logs. In doing so, the following
data are typically collected: IP addresses, access
timestamps, website names, volume of data
transferred, logouts/terminated sessions, browser
types, operating system information and referrer
URLs. These logfiles can be subsequently
examined in the event of justified suspicion of
misuse based on definite information.
1.3 Data entered by the Website User
Furthermore, you can use our websites
unrestricted without entering any personal
information. Whenever we collect personal
information, we will inform you in every case of
the purpose, extent, legality and possible transfer
and only use it for these purposes. Entering this
information is voluntary.
1.4 Legal bases for the processing of personal
data
In accordance with Article 13 GDPR, we hereby
inform you of the legal bases for our data
processing activities:
- Enquiries and contact by email, telephone,
telefax or post:
When you contact us, your details, including
the contact details you provide, will be stored
and processed by us for the purpose of
processing your request. The processing of
these data will be based on Art. 6 (1) b)
GDPR for the initiation or performance of a
contract.
- Provision of this website using the cookies
and tools specified under Art. 3 and 4 of this
privacy statement:
In this respect, your data will be processed
on the basis of a balancing of interests in
accordance with Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR.
- Consent:
Furthermore, we shall process your personal
data insofar as you have given us consent to
do so. In this case, the processing will be
based on Art. 6 (1) a) GDPR.
- Legal obligations:
Where processing of personal data is
necessary for compliance with a legal
obligation, Art. 6 (1) c) GDPR will serve as
the legal basis.
- Vital interests:
Where it is necessary to process personal
data in order to protect vital interests of the
data subject or any other natural person,
Article 6 (1) d) GDPR will serve as the legal
basis.
2. Use of Data
Personal information is only collected and
processed if you give us this data voluntarily, eg.
as part of an enquiry.
We naturally observe all applicable data protection
laws, in particular the Federal Data Protection Act
(BDSG)/EU General Data Protection Regulation
(EU-GDPR) and the Telemedia Act (TMG).
Your personal information will only be made
available to those agencies that require this
information in order for us to transact business
and process orders with you or to fulfil our
statutory obligations. Besides our own employees,
this refers to assistant agents we may use. These
include logistics service providers and service
providers in the IT and telecommunications
industries. Your data will not be transferred to
third parties for marketing purposes or similar.

using cookies necessary and establishes our
justified interest in using this technology. Most

prevent new cookies from being accepted and
stored. Your browser’s help function can assist you
with this.
We would like to point out, however, that
deactivating cookies restricts the functionality of
the website. We do not create any user profiles
from the user data collected by cookies.
4. Website Analysis and Tools
We use the following analysis tools to evaluate our
websites, which we describe as follows:
4.1 etracker
The provider of this website uses the services of
etracker GmbH, Hamburg, Germany
www.etracker.com/en
to analyse usage data. We do not use cookies for
web analysis by default. If we use analysis and
optimisation cookies, we will obtain your explicit
consent separately in advance. If this is the case
and you agree, cookies are used to enable a
statistical range analysis of this website, a
measurement of the success of our online
marketing measures and test procedures, e.g. to
test and optimise different versions of our online

4.2 Google Adwords Conversion Tracking
We use the online advertising program “Google
AdWords” of which conversion tracking forms a
part. Google conversion tracking is an analytical
service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre
Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA;
“Google”). If you click on an advert placed by
Google, a conversion tracking cookie will be placed
on your computer.
These cookies have limited validity, do not contain
any personal information and therefore cannot be
used for personal identification.
If you visit certain pages on our website and the
cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can
recognise that you have clicked on the advert and
were redirected to the page in question. Every
Google AdWords customer receives a different
cookie. In this way, it is not possible to track
cookies via the websites of AdWords clients.
The information gathered by the conversion cookie
is used for the purpose of creating conversion
statistics.
This means that we find out the total number of
users who clicked on one of our adverts and who
were redirected to a page with a conversion
tracking tag. However, we do not receive any
information that would allow us to personally
identify users. Processing takes place according to
Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR based on the legitimate interest
in targeted advertising and in the analysis of the
effectiveness and efficiency of this advertising. You
have the right to object to the processing of
personal information of which you are the subject
based on Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR at any time for
reasons arising from your particular situation. You
can also prevent cookies from being stored by
selecting the corresponding settings in your
browser software. We would like to point out,
however, that in this event not all the functions of
this website may be completely usable. You will
then not be included in conversion tracking
statistics. Furthermore, you can deactivate
personalised advertising on Google in the
advertising settings. A guideline to this can be
found at
https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?
hl=en.
Additionally, you can deactivate the use of cookies
by third party advertisers by visiting the
deactivation page of the Network Advertising
Initiative at
https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices and
applying the information given there on opting
out. Further information as well as Google’s data
